Peter took the time and effort to really understand my needs and expectations. He showed me all my options with no pressure and was extremely encouraging even when I felt defeated…

Peter Jensen and his team helped my wife and I sell our condo earlier this year, as well as find our dream home.
After a thorough and efficient pre-sale and pre-purchase analysis meeting with us, Peter proceeded to guide us through a hectic pre-sale preparation schedule for our condo. Thanks to his guidance, staging services and sales skills, we were able to sell our condo after its first weekend on the market for about $ 50,000 over the asking price.
At almost the same time, Peter found us a new home that met all of our pre-purchase analysis requirements. And due, again, in large part to Peter’s experience and skill, we were able to purchase our new home for several thousand dollars below the asking price.
Peter is a true professional, who never loses his sense of humor and steady nerves – even during the extreme emotional roller coaster ride that is buying and selling a home.
I strongly recommend him to any prospective home buyer or seller.
Sincerely,
Eric van Iersel

My wife and I recently engaged Peter Jensen’s services to find us a new home and sell our old one.
Before I entered into the foray of buying and selling a home. I thought that to be a good realtor you had to be intimately familiar with the real-estate market and keep a close eye on the MLS® listings. Bollocks. Real estate has little to do with knowledge of facts, it is primarily an emotionally driven field. It is not about property, it is about homes and security, fear and greed. When anyone decides to buy or sell, they leave their sanity behind and become an irrational and emotional mess.
I found that buying and selling a house does not take place between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, it take place at 11pm Sunday night after two fifteen hour days. Looking back on the experience, I think I talked with Peter on an average of at least three times each day over a period of weeks. He is now the only phone number outside of my immediate family that I have actually memorized. I was grateful that Peter always had time to talk, to bounce ideas around, and to offer an opinion when he was asked.
Being a skilled real-estate agent is not just about knowledge of real estate trends and local prices – anyone can do that. It is about understanding people’s underlying motivations and desires. In my opinion, Peter is King in this field. With Peter’s guidance, we sold our house for significantly more than our asking, and we bought our new house for significantly below the listed price. One week after we bought our new place, the house next door to it went up for sale 10% more than what we had paid.
To be a good REALTOR®, you have to be part-kindergarten teacher, part-psychiatrist and part-masochist. We were not easy clients. Peter took all of our abuse graciously, held out hand when we needed comfort and poked us when we needed to react.
Many Thanks Peter!

I had the recent pleasure of working with Peter Jensen in the purchase of a new home on the North Shore. To say that I was satisfied with Peter’s professionalism, knowledge and insightfulness would be an understatement.
The deal, as many are on the North Shore, was a battle to the end, with crazy wives desperately trying to convince their husbands that, without this house, we could never be happy. Peter helped draft not one, but two offers, that not on reflected our wishes but offers that were strong enough to stay in the running without being excessive (that being a matter of opinion). The hear those magical words,: You got the house” was something I feared I would not hear that night but Peter stayed calm and balances, assuring me that we had made our best offer and that we had a fighting chance.
When the seller’s REALTOR® nodded his head in our direction acknowledging that we were successful, I threw myself into Peter’s arms (getting the okay from his wife beforehand).
Peter is the reason that my cheeks hurt today – I couldn’t stop grinning.
Thank you Peter!

I have once again had the pleasure of working with Peter Jensen in the sale of our home on the North Shore. As was the case with the purchase of our new home, I was extremely satisfied with Peter’s professionalism, knowledge and insightfulness.
The current market, which can best be described as crazy, appears to be the sellers market. This, however, does not detract from the fact that buyers are much smarter that they used to be.
Before putting our house up for sale, Peter assessed each room and gave us a list of changes that he wanted us to make before proceeding with the sale. We followed everything on Peter’s list and, approximately 150 hours of renovations and clean-up (and frequent use of Peter’s name in vain), we completed the transformation. Out house still kept its character but it was easier for buyers to imagine themselves in our home.
During the entire renovation process, Peter gave us advice, reassurance and, sometimes, more changes to implement (the cheek). Peter knew that it was important for us to make the sale having purchased a new home just a few weeks prior.
On the day of the open house, driveway swept, house immaculate and the sun shining, Peter arrived in cheerful spirits and told us to go away for the day and relax (funny man). Peter was confident that our house would sell. Peter was right. After just one weekend of open houses, Peter called us with those magic words “You got an offer”. In a matter of hours, the deal was done.
Thank you (again) Peter!

Dear Peter,
Recently you acted for friends of mine with respect to the sale of their home on Vancouver’s West Side. In case you’re not aware of the broad impact you made, it’s my pleasure to share some of it with you.
First, in my friend’s lives. My friends, and their situation, are unique. They are effecting the dream of many Jews – to leave wherever they are, even a place as wonderful as Vancouver, to move to Israel. You immediately grasped their situation – as observant Jews, they had unique needs, such as being left undisturbed on Saturdays, no matter how good a day that might be for an open house; they were working under a self-imposed, but pressure-packed time-frame; they were selling, but no re-buying, in Vancouver; and they are going to an uncertain future in Israel, so that every extra $1,000 their sale yielded will be banked and buy them a measure of peace of mind as they settle into their new life. Further, dealing with a husband and wife, you had to navigate two distinct sellers’ personalities.
You got it! I understand from my friends that you:
- Invested more effort in their sale than another agent would have, fixing the target price, preparing the house for sale, and getting it sold quickly and efficiently.
- Demonstrated an expert’s eye in identifying the relatively minor improvements they needed to do to maximize the home’s value.
- Steered them to make the right decisions, firmly but comfortably.
- Lined up the various tradesmen to do the work you recommended; and you were always there, pleasantly and professionally, when they needed you.
They liked your strategy, they believe it worked, and they were thrilled with the price you got them for their house – which, impressively, was almost exactly the target you set.
For Yourself. I know you were pleased with the remuneration you earned from successfully lining up their house sale. But perhaps more importantly, you built your reputation. My friends told me that they would enthusiastically recommend you to others, and suggest I do the same.
For Me. Everything you did positively impacted me. As I sold my friends on you, I explained BNI and out Harbourside relationship, and they came to understand more about my marketing efforts and my law practice. Their positive view of you was reflected in a positive view of me.
And BNI. As you looked good, and I looked good, BNI looked good to my friends too. I won’t be surprised if some Israeli chapter ends up with one or two new members.
It was a pleasure to be associated with you in the matter of the sale of my friends’ home, and I look forward to an increasingly rewarding BNI relationship with you.
Yours truly,
